Beer Wars

The ultimate space fantasy that was shot in a garage with a $10 budget!

It's got: Bad Lighting!, Bad Acting!, But It Makes Us Laugh!

February 24, 2005

The WORLD PREMIER was a complete smash hit. The theater was slam PACKED at the start, the middle, and the end of the showing -- and it was all the same people!  Everyone stayed for the whole thing.  You know why?  It was good!  Beer Wars is really, really good!  There was non-stop riot laughter for the entire movie.  What a success!

Kyle's speech from the premier in Quicktime or Windows Media.

After the movie showed, everyone wanted to come up to Kyle and get his autograph, have their picture taken with him.  I'm not talking friends & family, total strangers who just showed up because they saw it in the paper.  People couldn't stop talking about how hard they laughed or what their favorite part was.

If you saw the movie, please email Kyle at kyle@beerwars.com and tell him what you thought.  He really wants to know.

On a personal note, I couldn't be more proud of my friend Kyle Niehoff if he was my own son.  The amount of time, energy, dedication, hard work, and heart that it took to make a full-length movie by himself is truly awe inspiring.  To have it be a good movie on top of that is just icing on the cake.  Kyle loves to give credit to other people, thanking his friends and family at every turn -- but the truth is all we did was "support" him, we never really "helped" him.  Even without us, this movie would have gotten made.

After watching the movie at the premier, all I could think of was El Mariachi which launched the career of Robert Rodriguez. Beer Wars was made for less money and with less people, and it's a better movie.  Without a doubt, a big future is right around the corner for Kyle Niehoff.

Oh, yea yea. We got mad press, boy.
